Description
Native to southern China, it is believed to have been cultivated for over 3000 years. An excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin A and calcium, and a good source of iron and potassium. Cut in halves and cook in water or stock to serve as a vegetable. For stir-fries, slice across the stems and roughly chop the leaves.
